In this episode Dr Max Draper talks about suffering from testicular cancer and his resulting spiral into poor mental and physical health. He then explains how his quest to feel better led to him realising he was suffering from low testosterone. Max's wife, Dr Katy Draper, also gives her account of the experience.

Max discusses his dose and application progression from gels to injections. And his wife, Dr Katy Draper reflects on the changes to Max (and family life) as his health was restored.
Max originally qualified from medical school in 2010. Following his junior doctor years in the East Midlands, he went into GP training in the north east where he moved with Katy. He’s been working as a GP in the north east now for about 10 years.

At the age of 29, he was diagnosed with testicular cancer, which resulted in him losing a testicle through surgery. Shortly after this, he developed a multitude of symptoms, which was later discovered to be caused by low testosterone.
It was this experience that he developed a passion for the world of testosterone and testosterone replacement treatment. He found the huge response to treatment both life changing and inspiring.
With the support of Katy, he has developed a unique perspective in this field, and began working as a TRT doctor in order to help other men.
His journey maps one of self discovery, a passionate pursuit for all issues testosterone, and desire and will to help other men who he feels may be not getting the recognition and right treatment for low T.

She continues to work as a GP in Sunderland where she is a GP Partner in a large practice which specialises in deprivation

She has a particular interest in women’s health in particular hormonal health and fertility. She has vast experience in mental health issues. She also has a lot of experience in men’s health and TRT as a result of living with Max!
Outside of work she has 2 beautiful children, a dog, a cat and lots of rabbits! She values her time with her family the most. Life is short try to live in the moment.

He anchored the local TV sports news, commentated on radio and wrote for several local papers. He returned to England in 2005 and has since worked for the BBC, MUTV, IMG and Virgin/Absolute Radio, among other outlets.

Since 2007, Teddy has worked as a presenter at Sky, including Sky News, Sky Sports News (see a clip here) and digital content including the boxing podcast Toe-2-Toe and MMA YouTube shows. He’s also written feature articles on boxing and MMA for Sky Sports’ website. Teddy also hosted and played the role of announcer during the boxing at the 2012 Olympics in London at The Excel and regularly hosts sports-related dinners and health events.
